"My 1999 Honda CRV was my first car, and I bought it from a friend after I graduated from college. Thirteen years later, I decided to buy a newer car, and I wanted my CRV to go towards a good cause. I chose to make a donation to Habitat for Humanity in honor of President Jimmy Carter, who passed away last month. I learned about Carter's commitment to activism when I wrote a book report on his memoir during middle school, and I hope that more leaders will inspire us to affirm one another's dignity and humanity. I want to start by making a contribution in support of affordable housing. “
